THE LOTUS VELLUM, GIG POSTER

This is a new gig poster I made for The Lotus Vellum, Brother Dan, and Sun Blood Stories. This is just the computer file, It is going to be screen printed by Andy Crawshaw at Broken Press.
Final print will be 18X24, 4 colors with glow in the dark on recycled french paper.
I'll post pics of the process and of the final poster as soon as it is off the press.
They will be available for sale at the show, and then in the Broken Press Webstore.

National Hangover Day Zine

The Lotus Vellum booked a last minute booking with Alaskan bands Feeding Frenzy and Brandon Reid. I didn't have time to do a full screened or printed poster, so I thought I would make a Zine for the show. I thought of it kind of as a program guide for the event itself. I made the central theme the fact that the show was on Jan 1st, or National Hangover Day.
I included some band info, and then some random stuff/info relating to new years day and hangovers.

This is of the whole front page folded out.

The second or back page folds out in to a gig poster I made for the show. I themed the Gig Poster around the Band's name and recent events that happened at a Target Superstore, where they kicked out a woman for breast feeding.

I'd like to also thank Rams Copy in the U-district just for being open during the Holiday weekend.

Logo Design, and Layout for Lucid Aisle

I recently did some layout and design for Brent Joel of Lucid Aisle. Here is the Logo I designed to be used for the inner booklet and for a sticker. Also here is the Layout I did for the inner booklet of Lucid Aisle's "Lunacity" album.

I designed the layout so that the booklet is reversible. Its meant to be folded in half, like a standard 4 panel CD Jacket, but I made it so that you can make the Inside the Outside, and vice versa. The blue photo was provided by Brent, I did the text layout and Logo.

So I am going to start trying to post random sketches and other things on here as much as possible, I'm starting out with a few little ones I did while working on my logo header. The Hawg one is based on my water cup I use for painting and inking, its an old hand drawn drinking cup from a gas station that doesn't exist anymore.

I did these while also watching a great Grindhouse double feature of "The Teacher" and "Pickup" I highly recommend these films for fans of the 70's and wood paneling, among other things...

Now that I have this up and running there is now going to be a gap in postings because I am boarding an Aluminum clad Escape Machine tomorrow night for a 10 day adventure thru the bay area and Yosemite National Park,with the always lovely Ms.Stephanie. So I'll be out of reach for a while.

Lesbian Final Poster

Signed and Numbered edition of 50. 3 colors on a natural cream paper, the tongues are silver! Andrew Crawshaw at Broken Press graciously donated his time and materials in printing these for me. The print is gorgeous in person and the gradient turned out awesome. I'd also like to thank Lesbian for giving me the opportunity to do this poster, and for getting me in to their show with Kinski this past Friday at Chop Suey.
I talked with Dan and Pete from Lesbian and had a great time drinking beer and hanging out.
Lesbian and Kinski did a group improv jam at the end of their set that was also pretty awesome, I highly recommend checking these guys out if you haven't already, and by all means go support them live!!

I also forgot to mention that while working on this poster, I stumbled upon a whole world of people who are really, really in to centaurs, just go ahead and start googleing the word and be prepared to take a trip, try adding the words art, erotic, or fiction to your searches and see what happens. Probably not work safe.

Hello,

This is my new blogfolio that is going to be my main vehicle for dissiminating information and spreading artwork.

I just Finished working on Two Posters, one for the Boise, Idaho band SHERPA, with former members of White Sound, and Farmdog, Dillon Wardwell and Rick Shodeen. They are going to be playing the Hyde Park Street Fair in Boise Idaho next weekend. If you can you should go support them.

I also just finished my first ever screen printed poster for the Seattle band, Lesbian. Andrew Crawshaw who runs Broken Press here in Seattle was more than kind enough to do the printing and color separation work for me.

I'll be posting images and sketches here in a second.
